General Music Specialist

I am the K-6 General Music Specialist at Grace Jordan Elementary School. I am excited to share my love of music with your children. Music not only reinforces concepts students are learning in their regular classrooms, but it cultivates in children a lifelong love of the arts. I am fortunate to work at a school where the parents, students, and staff realize this, and I appreciate your continued support of our arts and music programs here at Grace Jordan Elementary.  I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Boise State University, a Master’s Degree in Arts Education from Lesley University, a certificate in Orff-Schulwerk Level 1, and an endorsement in English. In addition to teaching K-6 General Music, I direct the Grace Jordan Elementary Choir, a choral ensemble comprised of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. In the past, I have worked with Because Kids Grieve, an organization dedicated to helping grieving children through the creative arts.

As a vocal coach, I have music directed and/or conducted community youth productions, including Les Misérables, Jr., All Aboard For Broadway, Willy Wonka, Jr., and High School Musical, Jr. I have also performed throughout the community in both musical theater and opera productions.
